>>The Story Behind the Rock
In the Bible, a rock
is repeatedly used as a metaphor for Jesus Christ and His spiritual
assurance. So as a symbol for Jesus Christ as well as the raw material we use
to build places of shelter, the "Solid Rock" in our name
communicates our mission, and the attitude of our hearts and, hopefully,
those that join our ministry. At The Solid Rock Christian Center, our focus
is on advancing the promises of the kingdom of God. Get in touch with us
today.
Solid Rock Christian Church was founded by Apostle Bill
Anderson, Jr. and Dr. Tonya Lyons-Anderson in February of the year of our
Lord 2002. The visionaries took a leap of faith and embarked in the ministry
of church leadership with the help of 40 charter members. The Oakhaven
community became home for Solid Rock when the church first opened its doors
at 3246 East Raines Road on June 2, 2002. The purpose of Solid Rock Christian
Center is based on the foundation of the biblical principle outlined in St.
Matthew 16:18-19, which states:
"Upon this rock,
I (shall) build my church; and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
And I will give thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatsoever thou
shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose
on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Operating fully on the power of the Holy Spirit, Solid Rock
quickly became known as the "Church of Power", the power of God
being manifested in the ministry of the Solid Rock ministers and leadership.
The church membership has expanded from forty to over three
hundred in one year.
The lives of many people have been impacted by the annointing of
God on the ministry of Solid Rock Christian Church. God has blessed Apostle
Bill Anderson with the wisdom, strength, faith, and power that is neccessary
to teach people how to use the keys to the kingdom of heaven in our lives.
Through the phenomenal power of God operating in the ministry, many people bound
by the strongholds and tricks of the Enemy have been delivered and set free
which, in turn, has changed lives and restored families that suffered from
these spiritual afflictions.

>>The Solid
Rock Christian Center Faith Statement
1. There is one God
that is manifested as three beings: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
2. The Holy Bible is
the mind of Christ and the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of
God.
3. Christianity is
based on the following principles:
- The diety of our lord Jesus Christ.
- His sinless life.
- His miracles.
- His vicarious and atoning death through His shed
blood.
- His bodily resurrection.
- His ascension into the Heavens to take His place at
the right hand of the Father.
- His personal return in power and glory as Lord of
Lord and King of Kings.
- The fall of man and his lost estate which makes
necessary a rebirth through confession and belief in Jesus Christ.
- The reconciliation of man to God by the
substitutionary death and shed blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
- All who repent from their sins and receive Christ as
Savior should be water baptized by immersion in the name of the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit, according to the command of the Lord
Jesus.
- Baptism of the Holy Spirit is subsequent to the new
birth. (Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4,8, Acts 2:4)
- Divine healing and deliverance from sickness is
provided for all in the atonement and is a privilege to all believers.
(Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17)
- The resurrection of believers to everlasting life and
blessing Heaven, and the resurrection of unbelievers unto everlasting
punishment in the torments of Hell.
- The present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit,
who bestows spiritual gifts in and among believers on the earth since
the day of Pentecost and continuing until our Lordıs return.
The beliefs and faith statements of our church
are based solely upon the teachings and prophetic word of the Holy Bible, and
the guidance and upbringing of the Holy Trinity, which is God the Father, God
the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
